New Fine Art at The Foundry Artist Cooperative

Image
My fine art has been hung at the Foundry Artist Cooperative in downtown Chambursburg, PA. To the left of the pet portrait, pictured, is "Florence, Italy" scrapboard -- or collage -- made by me. It contains a 35 mm black and white photo of a beautiful bridge in Florence where I have visited. The Foundry is gearing up for the holiday shopping season and many new lovely works have been hung in its gallery. The Foundry is located at 100 South Main Street, Chambersburg, PA  17201. Buy local, buy handmade! You may also shop for my fine art and Christmas greeting cards at scrapboarding.etsy.com  -- or at The Foundry. Happy shopping and there is nothing like owning original fine art and hanging it in your home or business!

Preparing artwork for The Foundry Gallery and Co op

Image
Greetings friends! Here, I am preparing two fine art pieces for hanging at The Foundry Gallery and Cooperative in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.  At left is Titanic Ship of Dreams and at right is Revolution. Titanic is a 3-D collage, a scrapboard. I invented "Scrapboarding" which means collage :)  Revolution is an acrylic painting on handmade paper.  Preparing artwork for hanging is a job in itself. Wires must be stretched across the back of the painting for a secure hanging. The pieces must have the name of artist, cost and date.  It's exciting to prepare pieces for hanging and there is a special group of artists who all work together to make sure the pieces look attractive to customers in the gallery and shop.
