This is the second piece of my series of Santorini paintings. I love the blue and white in this oil painting at sunset. When you look at the architecture of the town, it just looks like white buildings against a cerulean blue sea, but it's not! As a painter, I see the greys of cast shadows, the cream-colored tints and the stunning and graceful curves of windows and walls each with their own values of grey, lavender and white! Who knows, maybe there's one more Santorini piece in me yet! I just love this place, and I plan to get there someday. I just was notified that my "miniature" painting of Santorini has been juried into a large art show including artists all over the east, and locally here in Pennsylvania. The Miniature Show in Chambersburg is a must see! More to follow on that. Cheers! Happy Fall --
